Something not working, or not making sense? The quickest way to reach us is from inside the app: open the menu at the top right of the home screen, then Settings → Report Feedback or Issue. That starts an email with the useful details already filled in.
If you cannot open the app, write to coppice@couragehorizon.com instead. A person reads every message and we aim to reply within two working days.
It helps if you say which iPhone you have, which version of iOS it is running, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Coppice is £4.99 a month, or £34.99 a year with the first seven days free. The free trial is on the annual plan only. Prices differ by region, and the exact price is always shown in the App Store before you confirm.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us, so we cannot start, change or stop one for you. To cancel, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose Coppice. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends, otherwise the next one is already charged. If you started the free trial and want to avoid being billed, cancel before day seven.
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases, including ours. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account and choose the purchase. We do not see the payment and cannot issue a refund ourselves, though do tell us what went wrong so we can fix it.
You can do this yourself. Open the menu at the top right of the home screen, then Settings → Delete Account. It removes your account and the notes you have kept on people, and it cannot be undone. You do not need to email us and we will not ask you why.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because Apple holds that separately. Cancel it as described above, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
The nudge is the point of Coppice, so this one matters. Nudges are push notifications, and they only arrive if notifications are switched on for Coppice in your iPhone Settings. Open Settings, scroll to Coppice, tap Notifications and turn Allow Notifications on. There is no separate switch inside the app, so this is the only place to check.
If you tapped "not now" when Coppice first asked, that is the setting to change. Also worth checking that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not holding them back.
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. Use the same method on your new phone and everything follows you across, because your people and notes are held against your account rather than the device.
If you signed up with an email address and have forgotten the password, enter your email on the sign-in screen and choose the reset option. The reset link sometimes lands in spam. If you are not sure which method you used, try Apple first: it is the one people most often forget they chose.
Both live in the same place: the menu at the top right of the home screen, then Settings, where you will find Import Connections and Link Calendars. Each asks iOS for permission the first time. If you declined and want to change your mind, the switch is in your iPhone Settings under Coppice rather than inside the app.
Linking a calendar is optional. It exists so that you walk into a catch-up already remembering the context, not so that we can read your diary.
iPhone and iPad, running iOS 16.4 or later. It is not verified for macOS. Android is not available yet; write to coppice@couragehorizon.com if you would like to be told when it is.
What we collect and what we do with it is set out in the privacy policy. Your notes about people are private to you: there is no feed, nothing is shared, and nothing is shown to anyone else. To ask what we hold about you, write to coppice@couragehorizon.com.
